Search of a place or an object: Search tab

This application offers several search possibilities. In all cases, a click on the found place or object will center the map on that place or object

For a keyword search, the user enters a sequence of characters and the application shows all entries in the data base which correspond to this request. There are 5 options available: the search shows entries which are contained in the request the search shows entries which are identical to the request the search shows entries which begin with the statement in the request the search shows entries which end with the statement in the request the search shows entries which are phonetically similar to the request. If the search statement generates too many entries, an error message appears. You will therefore have to change your search criteria.

With a guided search the application offers different options with sequential menus. For example the choice of a canton leads to the list of the municipalities of this canton, then the choice of a municipality leads to the list of the roads of this municipality. Finally, only one object remains and the map is again recentered onthis object.
