The data found in the geodata viewer is the property of the Swiss Confederation. The data is copyright protected by Federal Law SR510.62 governing the creation of new national maps Bundesgesetz über die Erstellung neuer Landeskarten (SR 510.62). Unless otherwise stated, the data is the property of the Federal Office of Topography (swisstopo) and is governed by the provisions in Ordinance SR 510.622.1 on the utilisation of the Swiss national maps Verordnung über die Benützung des eidg. Kartenwerkes (SR 510.622.1).

With the exception of private or internal data usage, all other usage by means of storage, reproduction, digitising, modifying, distribution, and publication requires explicit authorisation.

You are free to use the geodata viewer for private and internal usage. However, data reproduction in digital or analogue form and the sending of data over the internet are only permitted in the same resolution as is made available on the geodata viewer (max. 240,000 Pixel).

Any use of data which is not of a purely private or internal nature requires written authorisation from the Swiss Federal Office of Topography (swisstopo) or the entitled owners.
